The family, we learnt is split over whether she should
be laid to rest; in Bangou (her husband's place of origin), Nanga Eboko (where
she was born) or Mvomeka (the place of origin of her daughter's husband, the
head of state).
According to a French language newspaper, La Meteo, except last minute changes, all
is set for the head of state’s mother-in-law to be buried in Mvomeka this weekend.
Madam Mboutchouang nee Ndongo Mengolo Rosette Marie, mother of Chantal Biya,
the First Lady of Cameroon died on October 2, 2014 in South Africa after a
period of ill-health.
