Ekema, Registrar of the GCE Board |
A report by the French language news service of the Cameroon Radio Television
says the ordinary level has registered some improvement this year while the
advanced level results have dropped this year as opposed to the 2014 session. This
is for the GCE general.
According to the results, the Ordinary Level General scored 44.93% as
against 34.41% last year. While the Advanced Level General registered a 60.41% score
as opposed to 63.9% last year.
The registrar of the Cameroon GCE Board, Mr Humphrey Ekema Monono
revealed that some 17 schools scored a hundred percent (100%) at the Ordinary
Level while 12 other registered same score at the Advanced level.
The Cameroon GCE board CEO also told the state radio that the board has
withheld results of some seven schools for examination malpractices.
For now, candidates who sat
for the exams have to TEXT their center and candidate numbers to 8006 for a mobile
telecom company to forward their results to them.
EXAMPLE
If my Center N° is 11316 and my candidate N° is 7010, then I just have to send 113167010 to 8006.
Note should be taken that
the numbers are not separated, without commas nor full stops.
Cameroonians have however criticized
this method of publishing results as it disfavors many candidates especially
those in rural areas with epileptic telephone network.
